One more property from illegal drug trade worth Rs.16.30 lac freezed in Ferozepur
14 drug smugglers’ Rs.7.51 cr illegal property freezed in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 14, 2023: Under Punjab Police ‘Anti-Drug Drive’ in the state, with the freezing of one more illegal property of drug smuggler Gaurav alias Gora of Bukhan Khan Wala under Kulgarhi police station, valuing Rs.16,33,500 under NDPS Act 1985 Section 68-F(2) after orders from the Competent Authority at Delhi, during the year 2023, the total illegal property to the tune of Rs.7,51,47,237 in 14 cases have been freezed so far.
Divulging with details, SSP Deepak Hillori said, a notice outside the house of Gaurav involved in the intoxicant drugs trade, has been pasted. A case against him was registered during February 2022 under NDPS Act at Kulgarhi police station with recovery of 1,800 Etizolam tablets and the case is to court. The house constructed over 3.93 marla land valuing Rs.16,33,500 with illegal means has been freezed. On scrutiny of record, Gaurav alias Gora has been found to be involved in two cases at Kulgarhi Police station during 2020 and 2022.
He said, 14 drug smugglers cases for getting freezing orders of their property under NDPS Act has been sent to the Competent Authority New Delhi and 15 more such cases in the pipeline and we are working on the same.
