Ferozepur, May 2, 2021:  Following the protests against the rising power prices in Punjab by burning the electricity bills campaign, Aam Admi Party (AAP) has now come forward with a demand of waiver of three months electricity bills to save the people of Punjab from costly poer supply, who are already facing severe recession due to series of lockdowns and curfews, said AAP District President, SC Wing Adv Rajneesh Dahiya, during his visit to the villages under the power agitation campaign by the party.

Dahiya demanded from the Capt led government to announce the waiver of power bills to get relief from financial burden to some extent.

He said that the complete lockdown and daily curfew on Saturday and Sunday has created a huge economic crisis for the traders, every shopkeeper and especially the daily bread earners even rikshawalas.

Talking in the voice of people, he said, with lockdown in the evening as a precautionary measures to put a check over the spread of coronavirus, the limited working hours for the shopkeepers, have put them in financial crisis as evening was the peak business time. People have not come out of the heavy expenses on books of children for the new academic session; the power bills have further disturbed their financial budget.

He appealed to the Capt government to waive of atleast three months power bills in Punjab.

Block President Gurnek Singh Kulgarhi and Circle Incharge Kashmir Singh Lohgarh were also present on the occasion.
