Two Corona +ve reported in Ferozepur, active cases reach 65
Ferozepur, July 12, 2020: Two more corona positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur and making total of active cases as 65. While 89 patients have since been recovered and discharged and so far, there had been three deaths in the district.
The total Corona positive cases detected in the district are 157 including two of today of the age group of 35 and 53. Talwandi Bhai and Guruharsahai are two sensitive zones in the district where the markets have been closed and being monitored closely by the administration.
The throat swab test of 12,187 people has been conducted and more than 88 per cent reported as negative for coronavirus. Among the reported cases, 9 BSF officials have also surfaced. In the meantime, the health department team are tirelessly working on tracing the history of newly added positive cases to further arrange their testing also.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Gurpal Singh Chahal has appealed to the people to stay at home and move out only in case of emergency. Only by following the guidelines of the health department of washing hands, wearing masks and social distancing, we can win over the further spread of coronavirus.
According to the health department, the samples of 10827 persons have been found negative whereas reports of around 400 samples were still pending. However, the process of sample testing will be a continuous process.
