Ferozepur Range Narcotic Cell seizes heroin valuing Rs.25 crore
Ferozepur, April 9, 2019: As per the information, Ferozepur Range Narcotic Cell has seized heroin consignment of 5.375 gm having the international value of Rs.25 crore from near BSF Check Post Lakha Singh Wala of Mamdot in Ferozepur Sector.
In a special drive of M.S.Chhina, IGP Ferozepur Range against trans-border smuggling from Pakistan to India, Ferozepur Range Narcotic Cell headed by Inspector Rachhpal Singh, ASI Rajinder Pal along with his team members in a joint operation with BSF officials of 29th BSF C Coy recovered heroin weighing 5.375 kg – one Pepsi bottle weighing 02.005 kg and 03 packet weighing 01.195 kg, 01.080 kg and 01.095 kg – from a blue sealed plastic bag concealed in the wheat fields of Karnail Singh son of Tota Singh resident Lakha Singh Wala Police Station Mamdot.
The consignment was recovered in the area of BOP Lakha Singh Wala forward Police Station Mamdot near Pillar No.206/06, 15 meters near the LOC on BOP Lakah Singh Wala.
Giving this information, IGP said the further investigation of the case is being carried out.
It is worth mentioning here that since January 1, 2019 till today, IGP Ferozepur Rnge Anti Narcotic Cell made a huge recovery of heroin weighing 23.402 g which is the highest recovery in Punjab.
