PSPCL officials on raid to check power theft attacked

Ferozepur, February 20, 2017: An incident of attack on Punjab State Power Corporation Limited – PSPCL – team who had gone to for checking of power theft, illegal power connections – kundi connections – at village Mahian Wala after the officials found some of them indulging in theft of power.

The PSPCL Employees Joint Forum condemned in strong words the highhandedness, maltreatment, using abusive language, snatching of official record, deleting of photos of illegal power connections clicked on mobile forcibly seizing mobile by the villagers.

At a dharna organized at Ferozepur, they protested to demand strict action against the villagers of Mahian Wala.

Condemning the the misconduct with Paramjit Singh, JE, Gurdev Singh and Zora Singh during the power supply checking is condemned,  Balwinder Singh, President of PSPCL Employees Joint Forum said while addressing the protesters. 

In his address, he said, in case the attackers are not arrested immediately, they will intensify their agitation.
