Rana Sodhi alleges foul play in filing nominations at Guruharsahai, Congress candidate could not file papers, Case registered for Thursady incident at Guruharsahai against SAD leaders

Ferozepur, February 13 :  The Congress could not file nomination papers for MC elections at Guruharsahai with the Returning Officer.

Congress MLA Rana Sodhi speaking to media persons alleged that SAD workers blocked their way by creating a rush to restrict their entry in the SDM office.

Later on, they were told that they had reached late as the deadline for filing nomination was 3 PM.

Sodhi alleged that it is a sheer murder of democracy as we have been deliberately detained from filing papers and district administration and SAD leaders are working hand in glove, said Sodhi.

However, a case has been registered for Thursday incident at Guruharsahai against SAD leaders Montu Vohra and Gursewak Singh Mann alias Kash and a few others for thrashing Congress nominee Atamjit Singh David and Arsih Demra alias Nikku under Sections 379, 323, 148, 149, 427 of IPC on the complaint of one of the victims.

Regarding today’s incident, the police official said, ruled out any foul play but the Congress MLA and supporters reach the MC office late for filing nomination papers than the fixed scheduled time.
