Ferozepur police conducts CASO at 16 crime and drug infected hotspots
Ferozepur, November 15, 2022: The Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was carried out, on the directions of Director General of Police, Punjab, under the supervision of Gautam Cheema, Inspector General of Police, S.O.G., Punjab led by SSP Ferozepur Kanwardeep Kaur , was conducted today at 16 crime and drug infected hotspots to nab the bad elements disturbing the social fabric of the society.
CASO was carried out under the tutelage of Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP along with 7 GOs. Apart from this, 10 SHOs, 190 NGOs and 350 EPOs were involved in this exercise at various locations like 2 locations of Police station City Ferozepur i.e. Basti Shekhan Wali, Basti Bhatia Wali; 02 locations of PS Cantt. Ferozepur i.e. Basti Tankan Wali, Gawal Toly; 02 locations of PS Guruharsahai i.e. Village Mohan Ke Uttar, Chhanga Rai ; 2 locations of PS Lakho Ke Behram i.e. Village Nawa Qila, Dona Mattar; one location of PS Kulgari i.e. Village Jhoke Hari Har; 01 location of PS Mamdot i.e. Village Pojo Ke; 2 locations of PS Talwandi Bhai i.e. Ajit Nagar, Village Kotla, one location of PS Makhu i.e. Village Khanna, 01 location of PS Mallanwala i.e. Mohalla Katya Wala and 2 locations of PS City Zira i.e. Basti Machian, Mohalla Samadhi Wala.
Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP informed that during CASO 122 gm Heroin, 100 Kg Lahan, 16.5 Bottles Illicit Liquor and 15 Bottles of country made liquor was recovered by various teams and 9 accused were arrested, 10 FIRs have been registered for respective recoveries. One Proclaimed Offender (PO) and 1 fugitive accused of snatching were also arrested. Further 19 suspected Motorcycles were impounded by different teams found to be without documents.
SSP said, the district police is fully prepared to eradicate anti-social elements, criminals, drug smugglers and other bad elements. People should contact local police for any kind of help without any hesitation and share all information about such bad elements to keep the society safe. She said that in future more such operations will be carried and other required measures will be taken to counter bad elements.
