Police encouraging drug dependent persons for rehabilitation in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 13, 2022: In its drive against drug mafia, and drug addiction, the Ferozepur police in another action mode today encouraged five youths hooked to drugs to undergo treatment at outpatient opioid assisted treatment (OOAT) or de-addiction and rehabilitation centers to lead a normal life.
Under the direction of SSP Charanjit Singh, DSP Jagdish Kumar today raided the Rai Sikh Bhawan abandoned building, and five youths were rounded up, who will be admitted to the rehabilitation center, for proper treatment.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come to the surface that these addicts already enrolled in the hospital, go in for injection at an isolated place by diluting the tablets in the water.
Besides, we will also bring to the notice of the government to take care of the misuse of the abandoned building by the drug addiction, by making such places operative for some other constructive work.
