Bodies of boy, girl found hanging from tree in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 19, 2022: In the present society we see many people committing suicide for reasons unknown to their families even and if these cases come into the light of the public, the reasons remain unidentified or not reported. In one such case, on Monday, the bodies of a boy and a girl were found hanging from a tree near a canal at a spot close to Suba Jadid village.
The boy’s family members have alleged that he and the girl were killed by the girl’s family members. Both of them were in love and their families were aware of it. The family members of the girl had promised that their marriage would take place after two years. The mother said, her son had left the house on Sunday around 10 pm saying that he was going to meet the family members of the girl but he did not return until morning and the police found the bodies found hanging from a tree. The boy’s family had demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
The investigations are on and with police are yet to come up it a case of suicide or honour killing.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Satvinder Singh, reached the spot and the he bodies were sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem, police said. The boy was a resident of Hajara Singh Wala village and the girl was from Habib Wala village, police said.
