April Cools’ Day celebrations get overwhelming support from people
Mayank Foundation aims to plant 2500 saplings during 2022 under, ‘Each One Plant One’ campaign
Ferozepur, April 1, 2022: The Mayank Foundation launched the ‘Each One Plant One’ campaign by celebrating April Cool Day instead of April Fool’s Day. Rakesh Kumar, secretary of the foundation, said that this unique initiative was launched by the foundation last year. This year the initiative received overwhelming support from the people.
Praising the initiative of the Mayank Foundation, District Education Officer Chamkaur Singh said that instead of fooling others, Foundation launched a tree-planting campaign to keep the weather cool and give a message to society to celebrate this day in a unique way. He said that with the onset of the summer season, people should also start a campaign to keep water bowls under the trees for stray animals and birds.
Deepak Sharma, the founder of the Mayank Foundation, planted saplings in his school Mallanwala Khas with the support of Principal Sanjeev Tandon and all the staff and students.
The April cool day was observed at District Education and Training Institute Ferozepur, Muktisar Institute of Higher Education, The British School Ferozeshah, Govt. Secondary School Girls Zira, Mallanwala Khas, Sande Hashim, Megha Rai, Valur, Govt. High school Jhoke Harihar, Shreen Wala Brar, Jhandu Wala & GPS Gainder.
Special efforts were made by Rajni Jagga, Sonu Sial, Aarti Sachdeva, Neha Jain, Nina Kansal, Seema Grover, Ana Bajaj, Ashima Kataria, Dr. Navdeep Gill, Dr. Sharda Gupta, Social Worker Suraj Mehta, Uday Randev, Shivam Vashisht, Gaurav Munjal, Adarsh Pal, Davinder Nath, Kamal Sharma, Manoj Gupta, Ashwani Sharma, and Team Mayank Foundation.
