Mobile found from gangster inmate at Central Jail
Ferozepur, March 11, 2021: A mobile phone from a gangster inmate during the search operation at Central Jail has been recovered, posting a security threat to the premises.
The recovery of mobiles, data cables, drugs has been a regular feature apart from throwing from outside over the high walls from the high rising building or open area.
A case has been registered under 52-A Prisons Act at City Police Station against gangster prisoner Akul Khatri of Mehta Chowk Amritsar presently lodged in the Central Jail Ferozepur, on the complaint of Sukhwant Singh Assistant Superintendent Jail.
According to Kuldip Singh IO in this case, during the search operation on Wednesday, one mobile of Samsung-key pad blue colour with a battery and SIM card has been registered. Further investigations are on with special focus on its smuggling inside the jail and its usage to know the purpose of its usage. However, the security has been intensified in and around the jail premises.
