58th foundation day of Home Guards and Civil Defence celebrated in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, December 6, 2020: The 58th  foundation day of the Home Guards and Civil Defence was celebrated at Home Guards Complex in Ferozepur today, following the Covid-19 protocols.

On this occasion, Anil Kumar Pruthi, Battalion Commander Punjab Home Guards read out the congratulations message from the President of India and other dignitaries.

Congratulating the staff on the occasion of 58th Foundation Day of Home Guards and Civil Defence, Charanjit Singh Divisional Commandant honoured the employees of Home Guards with Appreciation Letter for doing commendable duties during Covid-19 and motivated for doing duties with more dedication and devotion.

Jaskaran Singh, Battalion Commander, Patti and Tarn Taran in his address said, Home Guard jawans were playing a significant role in the protection of people. They played a key role to maintain law and order and manage the traffic system along with the police.

 

58th foundation day of Home Guards and Civil Defence celebrated in Ferozepur

He said it was founded on December 6, 1962, during the war between China and India.  Amrik Singh Jammu, Prem Nath Sharma Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence and Civil Defence Volunteers, and others were also present at this event.
