44 Corona +ve cases reported in Ferozepur, total active cases reach 226
Ferozepur, July 31, 2020: On the second day, the double figure Corona positive cases of 44 have been reported in Ferozepur, taking the total tally of positive cases to 452 since the outbreak of coronavirus.
As per the information, presently there are 226 active cases in the district and so far 219 have since cured with 7 deaths in the district.
As per the media reports, a sudden surge in Corona positive cases is due to violation of Covid-19 norms in the city and the district administration has itself stopped the public dealing. Appeals from time to time are also being made to follow the guidelines of the health department for wearing masks, washing hands, moving out only in case of any emergency besides avoiding gathering and parties, in view of the alarming situations. There could be a risk of community transmission if people continue to violate the Covid-19 norms. DC had said, only with the cooperation of the people, we can win over the virus.
Among today’s reported positive cases, 27 have been infected with contacts and 17 are due to Influenza Infection – ILI which includes one police and one prisoner also and 12 are new cases.
