Face-to-Face Seminar with Padma Shri Dr.Surjit Patar  

Ferozepur November 10, 2017:  Today, the Post Graduate Punjabi Department of local Post RSD College organized one day’s face-to-face seminar with the cooperation of Punjabi Sahitya Academy Ludhiana on the life and contribution in Punjabi literature of Padam Shree Dr.Surjit Pata – an eminent Punjabi poet.  

Dr.Tejwant Singh Gill who participated in the Seminar as a special invitee, called Dr.Surjit Patar – a poet of establishing relations with various traditions said, he – Surjit Patar has become a spokesman of the complete age.

Dr.Surjit Patar shared his views about his contribution to the literature and composition in the first Face-to-Face session. The inaugural speech of this session was delivered by Dr.Suhdev Singh Sirsa while Prof.Gurtej Koharwala, HoD Punjab Department highlighted on the personality of Dr.Surjit Patar and thanked for paying the visit to the college.

In the second session, five national critics – Neetu Arora, Devinder Shaifi, Shamsher Sohi, Kamalpreet Singh and Sukhjinder Singh presented their papers on compositions of Dr.Surjit Patar.  Expressing his satisfaction over this, Dr.Yog Raj, President quoted Dr.Surjit Patar a poet of many generations.

Dr.Surjit Singh, General Secretary, Punjabi Sahitya Academy congratulated the Principal of the college for the success of the seminar.

Dr.Dinesh Sharma honoured the distinguished personalities on this occasion. Prof. Kuldip Singh nicely performed the master-of-ceremony.
