VWS’s four players selected in Pre National Shooting Competition at Chennai

Ferozepur August 6, 2018: Four players of Vivekananda World School’s shooting range have got selected in Punjab team and will be in the team for Pre National Shooting Competition to be held at Chennai. 

Patron-in-chief of Vivekananda World School Mrs. Prabha Bhaskar, while giving details said that in this border town  to hone the skills of budding shooters  and appreciate new talent, the indoor shooting range was set up and in its first achievement all the four  players participated into the State Level Championship held at Mohali by Punjab Shooting Association, remained successful.

All the four participants from VWS range Gursharanjeet Singh, Ashir Sagar Bhaskar, Sanamdeep Singh and Neha Shinnh were outstanding in the 10-meter shooting competition and made entry into state team and will further go to Chennai for Pre National Championship to be held in the month of September.

Director of Vivekananda World School, Dr. S. N. Rudra, gave all the credit to Shooting Coach Darshan Singh and player’s sheer hard work. Dr. S. N. Rudra told that within few months of establishment of Indoor shooting range here at Vivekananda world School have not only established itself by producing world-class shooting stars but also seems in the times to come, in this small border town, it will be of great help to the young talent as otherwise they have to travel to distant places like Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Delhi etc. for practice. All could not have been achieved without the support of District Rifle Association President, Guruhardeep Singh Sodhi, Secretary General Mr. Malwinder Singh Sodhi, Treasure Mr. Bhupinder Singh Sodhi, General Secretary Parwinder Singh Sodhi, and Executive Secretary Ashok Behal. 

Today, the victorious players were honoured in the school campus.
