Visually-impaired inmates celebrated X’Mas at Blind Home, Bishop Howell prayed for joy in our hearts
Ferozepur, December 25, 2020: Festivities have been muted as gatherings have been cancelled inline with Corona protocols, while some were mourning loved ones who lost to virus, but with the ease of the situation in the city, the Visually-impaired inmates of Home for the Blinds, along with missionaries today celebrated Christmas
Apart from Ramesh Sethi, Manager, Harish Monga, Asstt. Secretary and family members, Avtar Singh, Blind Home, around 50 visually-impaired persons celebrated X’Mas celebrations when Bishop R.E.Howell, Dr.Dorothy Howell, Pastor Rahul Gill, Bro Pankaj, Bro Joshua, Bro Joseph were also present on this occasion.
Bishop RE Howell and Dr.Dorothy Howell and Bro Pankaj said in their prayers – We pray for joy in our hearts, hope in our God, love to forgive, and peace upon the earth. We pray for the forgiveness of sinners and abundant life in Christ. Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with your love and power. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
At the start of the event, songs remembering Jesus Masih were presented by the visually impaired youths followed by reading a message from the Bible in Braille – a six dot raised language for the blinds.
At the end of the programme, a beautifully decorated cake was cut to celebrate the Merry Christmas, followed by a delicious dinner.
