V.C. IKGPTU Dr. Ajay Sharma, confers degrees to students at 7th Convocation of SBS State Technical Campus
Ferozepur January 19, 2019: The seventh Convocation of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus organized. Dr. Ajay Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, IKG, PTU, Kapurthala joined as the chief guest and inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. Meanwhile, degrees were conferred to 142 students of B.Tech, BCA, M.Tech, MCA and PhD.
Dr. T.S. Sidhu, Campus Director, read out the Institute annual report emphasising the achievements of Technical Campus in various spheres. He said, “Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), NAAC and granted Autonomous status by UGC New Delhi. Now the Institute is competent to conduct the exams and declare the results at the institute level.
V.C. Dr. Ajay Sharma said, “Students are the most precious treasure who bring laurels to their alma-mater”. He commended the faculty and staff for their contribution in the field of technical education as the SBS State Technical Campus has earned a name worldwide. He said, “youths are the future of the country and they have to play a major role in the development of a nation. He also advised the students not to get entangled in the mire of drugs.
Alumni meat was also organized after the Degree distribution ceremony. On this occasion associate director of the institute Dr Lalit Sharma, Registrar J. K.Agrawal, Dean Academic Dr. Manjinder Singh, all departmental heads, faculty and staff were present. In the end, a memento was presented to the chief guest by the organization.
