Ferozepur, September 5, 2016 : On the Teachers’ Day celebrations throughout the country, the Unemployed PTI Union dharna entered 16th day and hunger strike 9th day started in front of the office of SDM at Jalalabad, to register their protest to accept their demands.

Later, the effigy of Punjab Government was burnt in the heart of the city during the Flag March procession and certain Union members were taken into police custody on jamming the traffic on the Ferozepur-Fazilka road.

Giving more information, Gurlabh Singh Bhola, President and Ashok Ladhuka, District President, Unemployed PTI Teachers Union said, the unemployed PTI Union teachers are fighting for their rights since long but there has been no concrete steps taken by the government.

Today, the members of the Union have arranged a Flag March with black buntings in their hands in the bazzars of Jalalabad – the constituency represented by Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Bhola said.

 

Giving information about the anti-people policies of the government, they said, in case no action is taken by the government immediately, the members of the Union will be compelled to intensify the agitation further shortly.
