Under ‘Civic Action’ programme, BSF helps border area students
Ferozepur February 18, 2018: The Border Security Force 105 Bn under its ‘Civic Action’ programme with an aim to develop quality education in the border area, donated infrastructure for use in the Gati Rajo Ke Govt. Sr. Sec. School situated just near the Indo-Pak international border.
Under the programme, J.K.Birdi, CEO BSF 105 Bn handed over – 2 computers, water cooler and sports-related material to Dr.Satinder Singh, National Awardee, Principal of the school.
CEO Birdi was also accompanied by his wife Mrs Birdi and senior officers – Anil Sharma, Harinder Kumar and J.S.Rawat.
Motivating the students to work hard, CEO Birdi during his address to the students said, the development of backward border area is possible only with the development of education for which the BSF will help under its ‘Civic Action’ programme. He also assured to make arrangements for special training at the time of recruitment in the Army.
Mrs.Birdi during her address expressed deep concern over the increasing drug addiction and social evil of female foeticide and appealed to work positively to eradicate it from the society by taking it seriously.
Conveying thanks to the entire team of BSF, Dr.Satinder Singh said, we are thankful for the BSF, district administration, Red Cross and NGOs for extending help to this border area school and there will be better performance results of the students in the final exams.
