Ferozepur, October 10, 2020: The steady decline trend has started showing in the last three weeks, for Covid-19 positive cases in Ferozepur district as today only 23 have been reported positive.
It is said that the people are now conscious to follow the medical protocols for this declining trend in corona positive cases.
As per the information, 46,017 samples had been taken since the outbreak of coronavirus in the district, out of which 41,799 were tested negative, 4,002 positive, 3,563 recovered, 327 active as of now and results of 216 samples are still awaited.
However, two deaths have been reported of 60 years female of Ferozepur Cantt and 65 years male of Mamdot block, taking the total death tally to 112.
Speaking on the declining trend of Corona positive cases in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Gurpal Singh Chahal said, it is the right time to maintain this status by continuing to use face masks, washing hands frequently and maintaining social distancing besides moving out of the house only on need basis.
