SC/ST community feels ignored in distribution of tickets for Punjab polls, says Dhaliwal
Ferozepur, January 28, 2022: The SC/ST/OBC and Minority community have been ignored in the distribution of tickets by the political parties in proportion to the population, for which they will have to face the consequences in the coming Assembly elections, said Jaswinder Singh Dhaliwal, National President, All India SC/ST/OBC and Minority Brotherhood Community.
He said, that Congress is the mother of RSS, BJP is the team of RSS, and Aam Aadmi Party is the team of RSS.
Citing the example of denying ticket to the sitting MLA Satkar Kaur from Ferozepur Rural constituency, he said that the Congress party had always used the word secular to refer to SC/ ST/OBC but has opposed the constitutional rights of the minority. None of the political parties has any agenda for this class.
He said, our aim of today’s meet is put wiser the people of Punjab. There has been no census of SC/BC/ST categories after 1931. The issue was raised in 2011 but snubbed in 2021 and the issue was side-tracked with the entry of Anna Hazare which gives birth to the Aam Aadmi Party which too has gone to the Court.
Attacking on Kejriwal, he said, Kejriwal had right from his student life opposed the constitutional rights to the minority community even the Supreme Court has been approached in promotion case to SC/ST class. Similarly, ignoring the minority community, Arvind Kejriwal had ignored 34 percent population of SC/ST by announcing the CM’s face of Bhagwant Mann.
On asking about which party they will support, Hardip Singh Dibdaba, SAD (Shaheedan) said, the distribution of tickets should be on a population basis. However, we will make a decision shortly to field our candidates in the Assembly elections as Independent candidates.
