Shop opposite Central Jail gutted in fire

Ferozepur, May 25, 2023: The shop – Sohan Tea Stall – opposite Central Jail gutted in fire today.

However, the fire tender which was available nearby reached the spot and distinguished the fire.  Meanwhile, the  nearby shopkeepers also tried to remove the gas cylinder and switch off the generator which too was running due to power break.

Had the fire not been controlled, there could have been big blast opposite the central jail as the generator was on and about 50 motorcycles were parked there.

Initially, the cause of the fire is said to be sparking from generator to cylinder being used at the tea shop. However there was no loss of life but the loss is said to be around Rs.1.50 lakh.
