Vipul Narang, a social activist and a regular visitor of Blind Home, today interacted with the inmates about the Basant festival celebrations in Ferozepur.

He said,With the start of festivities in Ferozepur – known all over the world, when friends, relatives, family members settle at any place on this planet earth, plan to come back to celebrate this festival.  But they prefer to buy Chinese thread, ignoring the risks involved, which gives them a thrill on cutting kites flying with the normal thread. It is also cheaper than cotton strings.  A normal cotton string feel is priced at Rs.300 to Rs.400 for 1,000 metres while one buys 4,000 metres of Chinese thread reel at the same price, said Vipul Narang, social activist.
