Rousing Welcome for Asian Kabaddi Champion Randeep Kaur at Railway Station
Ferozepur, September 8, 2018: Randeep Kaur – an alumna of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur – who brought laurels to the country by winning Silver Medal in Asian Kabaddi Champion, held at Jakarta, Palembang, Indonesia – received overwhelming welcome at the Railway Station on her arrival from Delhi, by Parminder Singh Pinky, MLA, Sumer Singh Gurjar, Commissioner, Ferozepur Division, Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner, Pritam Singh, Sr. Superintendent of Police and Dr.Madhu Prashar, Principal Deve Samaj College for Women.
An honorarium of Rs.21,000 was given to Randeep Kaur for her excelling in Asian Kabaddi Champion by Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman of Dev Samaj College for Women.
Speaking on the occasion, Parminder Singh Pinky said, the matter with the Punjab Government will be taken up soon to promote Randeep Kaur, ASI to the rank of DSP in Punjab Police for her achievement and proud of the society.
Expressing her happiness, Dr.Madhu Prashar said, Randeep Kaur is an example of Women Empowerment – who are changing the concept of the society towards women – will enhance the women empowerment campaign more successfully. Randeep Kaur’s marvellous achievement has brought honour to the institution – which has already given many women dignitaries to the nation – her native and to the nation at large. We should honour the daughters like daughters as they are excelling in every field and highlighting the name of their parents.
Meanwhile, Palwinder Singh Pali, Head of Physical Education Department and Er Parteek Prashar, Dean College Development also expressing their pleasures, wished for the better future of Randeep Kaur.
