Rashtriya Suraksha Jagran Manch holds Seminar on ‘Save Environment-Save Life-Plant Trees’
Ferozepur, June 16, 2024: To make people aware of district-level the environment getting polluted day by day and to give them tips to make the environment clean, a district level seminar on ‘Save Environment-Save Life-Plant Trees’ was organized at Shriram Bagh Old Age Ashram Cantonment which was attended by hundreds of environment lovers.
To make people aware of the environment and motivate them to plant more and more trees in the seminar, Golok Bihari Rai, National Organization General Secretary of Rashtriya Suraksha Jagran Manch and Raj Kishore National General Secretary in charge of North Zone participated as a special guest, in this event.
Dr Satinder Singh, a well-known environmentalist and state and national award-winning, Principal, Govt Sr. Sec School Gatti Rajo Ko near the Indo-Pak border, participated as the keynote speaker. Dr Satinder Singh said that at the rate at which trees are being cut, the day is not far when we will not see the trees sit in their shade. Similar is the situation with water which is rapidly getting absorbed into the earth. He informed that a survey was conducted by some countries of the world in which it has been said in the report of the survey that there is going to be a famine of water and trees in many countries.
Golok Bihari Rai, National Organization General Secretary said that if we want the environment around us to remain clean and pollution-free, then each one of us will have to take an oath to not only plant a tree but take care like a child till it is grown-up.
While Raj Kishore, General Secretary in-charge North Zone said that the damage caused by indiscriminate cutting of trees has the most negative impact on our lives and our health. We must plant at least one tree every day.
The local environment lovers – Dharampal Bansal, Chairman, SBSH College of Nursing and Harmony Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross, Vijay Behal Tehsildar (Retd.), Harish Goyal, Social Worker, Shalinder Shelly Founder Langar Seva, Vijay Victor, Inder Gupta, and members of various social organisations participated in the seminar also expressed concern over the alarming situation and decided to initiatives for preserving the environment and tree plantation which is certainly the best solution to provide better environment for the coming generations.
