Huge recoveries of drugs in Ferozepur during 2023 besides arrested of accused, recovery of drug money

Ferozepur, December 23, 2023: Deepak Hillori, IPS, Senior Superintendent,  informed the media that Randhir Kumar, IPS, Superintendent Police (Investigation), and his team of the Police Department of Ferozepur have been awarded the DGP Commendation Award for outstanding performance in Ferozepur.

SSP congratulated Randhir Kumar, SP(D) and his team, for outstanding performance.

He further informed that in 2023 as of date, in 558 cases, 688 accused were arrested.  At the same time, the recoveries were – 89.077 kg heroin, 235.100 kg poppy husk, 13.543 kg opium, 1,02,220 tablets, 1.525 kg intoxicant powder, 147 kg bhang, Rs.43,19,035 drug money.  Similarly, under the Excise Act, during the same period, in 196 cases, 251 accused were arrested with the recovery of 9145.530 ltr illicit liquor, 2892.010 licit liquor, 16,588 kg lahan and 13 working stills and in Mining Act, in total 108 cases, 24 are in court, one untraceable, 83 under investigation, 130 accused arrested, 106 vehicles impounded and 1,08,981 sq feet sand material seized. All the material is in police custody.
