Railway earned Rs.11.36 crore from ticket checking in Ferozepur Division

13 per cent increase in income of last year

Ferozepur, October 27, 2015 : The Ferozepur Divisional Rail Division  earned Rs.11.36 crore from ticket checking during April-September,2015 which is 13 per cent increase in income of last year.  While the income from ticketless travelers was Rs.2.57 lakhs which comes to 11 per cent increase of previous year.

Anuj Parkash, Divisional Rail Manager, Ferozepur informed that the checking operations were carried out under the supervision of Roshan Singh, Senior Div Operating Manager, Tarlok Singh, Sr. Div. Manager and Hari Deep Kumar, Asstt.Sr.Div.Manager.

He further said, in the coming days, the checking in the trains will be intensified so that travelling without ticket could not be possible.

Anuj Parkash said, Special Railway Magistrates, Jalandhar, Jammu Tavi and Sri Nagar have also been asked for intensive checking.

He however, appealed to the passengers not to travel without tickets and cooperate in keeping the train and station premises neat and clean. Any person found throwing garbage at the station premises, will be fined up to Rs.500, he added.
