Ferozepur, September 12, 2022:  On Monday, the 125th Saragarhi Day celebrations were interrupted by Guardians of Governance (GoG), to protest against the scrapping of GoG Scheme.  The Saragarhi Day celebrations are held every year on September 12 to pay tribute to the brave 21 Sikh soldiers who fought to the last man and last round.  Even the media persons were also mistreated by gunmen while approaching the Cabinet Minister Fouja Singh Sarari.

Added here, the GoG a flagship scheme of the Congress government, was introduced by the former Chief Minister and by putting an end to the scheme by the Bhagwant Mann led government, 4,300 ex-servicemen had been rendered jobless who were being paid a monthly stipend of Rs.11,000 to every jawan, Rs.13,000 to supervisor nd R.25,000 to tehsil level incharge, costing around Rs.72 crore per annum financial burden.

Even the media persons were seen manhandled while approaching to the Cabinet Minister, Fouja Singh Sarari, whose entry too was objected by the GoGs.  The media persons were to get his version over the viral audio on the social media, to which he has already denied to some private channel and news portal Babushahi.com

Earlier, SSP Ferozepur, Surindera Lamba had also reacted to the protest by the GoGs showing black bags.  Expressing concern over the protest on this pious day, SSP said, “Kamal di gal ho gai hai, char shrarti bandya ne saariya nu age laya hoya hai, apna dhihara, apna din, sare fouji, experience fouji, mein gal karn vaste kal da keh rihan ha”

Fouja Singh Sarari, Cabinet Minister was the chief guest of the function and his entry was managed from another gate to pay tributes to the martyrs of Saragarhi.

On the other hand, when Cabinet Minister Fouja Singh Sarari started to address the audience, the GoGs left the pandal saying that the Punjab government has thrown them out of the job. Therefore, they do not want to listen to the speech of Fouja Singh Sarari.

At the same time, when Cabinet Minister Fouja Singh Sarari was asked about the audio going viral and the protest made by GoG, he left from without answering the questions of the media rather the media persons were also mistreated by the gunmen.
