PNB Sentinel withdraws cash on forged signatures through stolen cheques from the account of Late Brigadier

Ferozepur, April 25, 2015:  The occurrence of frauds in the banks is not a recent observable fact; in fact the misdemeanor of forgery is perhaps as old as writing itself.

Bank fraus cropl up in all spheres of banking dealing and a case of withdrawing of Rs.1.60 lakhs from Punjab National Bank branch Golden Arrow, from the account of Late Brig P.Bhanot has to notice.

As per the complaint lodged by Major B S Randhawa (Retd.) Chief Security Officer at Police Station, Kulgarhi a case has been registered under Sections 380,420,120-B of IPC.

The IO investigating into the case stated that the accused Manoj Kumar working as Security Guard, in PNB Ferozepur, had withdrawn Rs.1,60,000 from the account of late Brig P.Bhanot on different dates by making fictitious signatures on the cheques which were earlier stolen by him.

The matter is still under investigation and no arrest has so far been made.
