Petroleum Dealers’ Association demand security at petrol pumps
Ferozepur, June 20, 2018: The District Ferozepur Petroleum Dealer’s Association in a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanded to provide security and arrest the miscreants involved in the recent incident of loot at the petrol pump.
S.P.Khera, President, District Ferozepur Petroleum Dealer’s Association said, in the recent past there had been four incidents of loot from the petrol pumps in the state including Ferozepur.
Condemning the incidents Khera said, the district administration should make arrangements of security at the petrol pump. He said, on June 14, there was an incident of looting of cash from the petrol pump by five armed persons at the point of a pistol and fled away with a cash of Rs.12,000, while one was arrested by police. The remaining accomplices of miscreants are still out of the reach of the police.
The DFPDA has demanded from the police to immediately arrest the looters.
He further said the state body is also working on closing the pumps at 8 pm to avoid any loot incidents at late hours. However, a decision on this account will be taken in the next meeting.
