PCMSA submits memorandum to FM, demands full scale for doctors and non-practice allowance
Ferozepur, March 9, 2016 : The Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa has promised Punjab Civil Medical Association (PCMSA), a prime union of government doctors that he would shortly respond to the issues of PCMSA including full pay scale to the newly recruited doctors.
A delegation of the PCMSA led by Dr Gagandeep Singh Moga visited the FM at his residence in Chandigarh and handed over a memorandum of demands of the government doctors.
“The doctors recruited recently are drawing just Rs 15,600 as monthly salary, which is the basic pay. They are being exploited in the hands of state government. We have requested the FM to give them the full pay scales”, said Dr Gagandeep Singh.
“The second issue was nonpayment of non-practice allowance (NPA) of the doctors, who are pursing Post Graduation on government quota. The third issue included special increment to the specialist doctors working the health department”, he added.
“The minister has assured us to resolve the issues soon”, he claimed
“Another 37 point demand charted was given to the Health and Family Welfare minister Surjeet Kumar Jiani in a separate meeting with him and a meeting may be called soon”, he further added.
