Pak body seeks security on celebrations of Shaheed Bhagat Singh  martyrs’ anniversary in Lahore of March 23

Ferozepur, March 17, 2018:  Chairman, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan – Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi has filed a  petition in Lahore High Court along with Shahbaz Rashid Qureshi and Kashif Mehmood Solomani, Advocates under Article 199 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, seeking security on celebrations of 87th Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Lahore on March 23.

Qureshi is already fighting with the Lahore High Court to prove the innocence of Shaheed Bhagat Singh as his name is not appearing in the FIR and renaming Shadman Chowk as Bhagat Singh Chowk, the lovers of Bhagat Singh in Pakistan has also sought security on celebrations of 87th Anniversary on March 23, 2018, for which the Lahore High Court has fixed March 22 as next date of hearing.

Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan – BSMFP – Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Chairman speaking on phone said, we have filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking security on 23rd March 2018, for celebrations of martyrs’ day, at Shadman Chowk, with types of equipment of CCTV Cameras, weapon detectors so as to save from any untoward happening to meet the ends of justice.

Qureshi said, we have issued the invitation to various prominent persons, institutions to attend the programme at 4 pm on March 23, 2018, and fool-proof security may be provided.

He said, an invitation has also been extended to Chairman PCB Najam Sethi and on March 19, he will appear before Justice Aabdaziz Sheikh Bench with his arguments.

Qureshi said, “Bhagat Singh is as much of Pakistan as much as he is of India. He was born in present-day Pakistan, so he is the hero of India and the son of Pakistan.”
