One injured in broad daylight firing in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 8, 2023: The firing triggered panic among the people in the town when in the firing incident one person was injured in broad daylight firing on Malwal road. The two bullets reported to have been fired at the young man and admitted in the private hospital.
Immediately on getting the information, the local police station cops and SP(D) Randhir Kumar reached the spot where the incident happened and also visited the hospital.As per the first hand information, five-six persons have come on the bike with masked faces and fired on Amit Kumar alias Ravi Pradha a resident of Bhattian Wali, who was seriously injured and admitted to the private hospital. One bullet said to have hit in the mouth of Amit and the other in the stomach. According to the sources, the injured Amit is accused in a case under Section 302 and was absconding. Earlier, Ravi’s uncle Mahendra Pal was also attacked.
Meanwhile, the police have started investigating the matter from various angles and also scrutinizing the CCTV footage to get clues to identify the attackers. The preliminary investigation reveals that it is a case of mutual grudge and shooting suspected to be related to past rivalry. The empty bullet shells have also been collected for which forensic testing will also be done from the lab to get some clues to trace the accused, said Randhir Kumar, SP(D).
