No need to panic, get tested for Covid-19 instead of following unscientific methods : DC
Ferozepur, October 19, 2020: The Ferozepur today witnessed 13 new Corona positive cases, with no recovery. As on date, 49,063 samples were taken for Corona testing, out of which 44,593 were tested negative, 4,107 positive, 3,704 recovered, and results of 363 are still waited. However, the active cases in the district are 285, with 90 per cent recovery rate.
With reporting of one death today of 48 year female due to Corona positive, the total death tally in the district is now 118.
Expressing contentment on the declining trend of positive cases, Deputy Commissioner, Gurpal Singh Chahal making an appeal to the residents of the district said, there is no need to be panic on account of Coronavirus symptoms and on seeing any such indication, the health department in civil hospitals must be consulted for starting the testing and treatment process instead of following the unscientific methods in circulation on social media.
He said, till such time the vaccine is invented, the preventive measures may continue to be taken such as wearing mask, sanitizing hands frequently and maintaining social distancing. Covid-19 is something we can easily conquer.
