Nationwide Signature campaign for release of Bandi Singhs launched in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, December 18, 2022: On Saturday, a nationwide signature campaign for release of Bandi Singhs was started in Ferozepur which was initiated according to the orders of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and  got a huge response from all the communities, said Grewal, Sikh Student Federation representative.

The Sikh prisoners were lodged in different jails for nearly three decades despite completion of their sentences and have not been released.

During the campaign, awareness will be raised among the community members about the cases of Sikh prisoners and the punishment they have served.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Tuesday decided to launch a nationwide signature

The campaign from December 1 was launched,  to demand the release of ‘Bandi Singhs’, the Sikh political prisoners which the religious body claims are still lodged in different jails despite completion of their sentences.
