Mr.Arvind Kejriwal : Why this attack on media&#39s freedom.

Can you explain please?

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal&#39s action of issuing gag order against media has been rightly criticized. The action of Kejriwal to bar the media from coming inside secretariat has targeted the democracy of our country and the freedom of speech of the people. What has forced Kejriwal to take such decision, which is similar to a dictator’s?
BJP leader Nalin Kohli has rightly pointed out that, “His (Kejriwal&#39s) aim is to spread confusion. One end he himself appeals against the defamation case leveled against him. On the other hand his own government takes action against anyone who criticizes the government.”
Arvind Kejriwal should not forget what he has been stating well before the elections when he was at the centre of a raging controversy for allegedly stating that the media had been bought with large amounts to promote Narendra Modi, who was the BJP&#39s prime ministerial candidate. Had he been having any authentic proof, he would have moved to the court of law at that time.
One thing more, the media attacked Modi for 12 years but he never started such a disgusting campaign against media. Why is Kejriwal so frustrated?
It looks that Kejriwal is afraid of media – known as the 4th pillar of democracy – as the aim of media is never to defame anyone but to bring the truth on surface to put wiser the public to make their opinion.
Frankly speaking, modern societies cannot be imagined without mass communication. Television, newspapers, the radio and the online web news portals are the main sources of information for citizens across the globe.
More-over, media organizations are generally assumed to play an important role in democracy but the action of Kejriwal is hypocrite and undemocratic and needs to be condemned by journalists fraternity.
