MLA Bains of Lok Insaaf Party Reaffirms Faith In Alliance Partner AAP
Ferozepur, December 28, 2016: Independent MLA from Atam Nagar constituency, Ludhiana Simerjit Singh Bains of popularly known MLAs duo Bains Brothers was here in Ferozepur today to induct Jasbir Singh Bhullar in their Lok Insaaf Party. Bhullar was actively associated with Shiromani Akali Dal (A) for 32 years.
Speaking on the occasion, the firebrand leader Simerjit Singh Bains, neatly dressed with traditional green turban, started his address with slogan Inqlab Zindabad. He slammed Akalis and Congress for looting Punjab for 70 long years since 1947. Both are hands in glove with each other as is evident from giving a clean chit given to Capt Amarinder Singh in the scams by SAD-BJP government.
He said that during the last 5 years it was a fight of 115 Akali-BJP-Congress MLAs versus 2 Independent MLAs including himself and his elder brother Balwinder Singh Bains and sitting MLA from Ludhiana South constituency. ” We established our identity by introducing a Private Bill seeking Rs.1,53,434 crore of water charges from Rajasthan. But the same did not find a reference in the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly. We were not allowed to speak more on the issue rather thrown out of the House,” he said.
About possibility of AAP becoming like SAD or Congress after coming to power, he said, AAP would not do so. They are now concentrating with long term strategy with an eye on 2019 elections. He, however, made it clear that it was their alliance not merger with AAP.
Bains said, now even non-political parties have come forward and the fight during 2017 elections will not be of vote but it is going to be a religious war.
On being asked about any chances of joining hands the Congress, Bains ruled out any such possibility. “We will never join Congress because Congress and Badals are two sides of the same coin. Punjab voters will re-write the history in the upcoming elections.
On expansion of Lok Insaaf Party, Bains said they have already established their presence in Gurdaspur, Phagwara, Ropar etc. and on coming to power in alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, we will have sufficient time of five years for further spread of Lok Insaaf Party in Punjab.
He, however, made it clear that it is an alliance of Lok Insaaf Party with the AAP and not the merger.
Commenting on Sikandar Singh Maluka Punjab Minister and SAD leader conduct at a function where a Sikh ardas was imitated and distorted to praise Hindu gods, Bains there is a great resentment among the panthic Sikhs for doing such deeds by becoming brainless and irrational. In fact, they are wearing a ‘panthic makhota (mask)’.
On demonetization, he said, In the first two-three days, it looked to patriotic decision but later on it is disloyalty with the nation.
