LIP raises voice against mushrooming of unauthorized colonies in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, July 6, 2021: Raising a voice against mushrooming of unauthorised colonies in Ferozepur, Lok Insaaf Party, District President, Jasbir Singh Bhullar said to the media persons at Press Club, the carving illegal colonies should be stopped and strict action may be taken against the defaulters as it is a huge loss of revenue of the government.
The coming up of unauthorized colonies across the state and the increasing illegal construction day by day may be due to collusion with the administration, negligence or any other reason, but every government has failed to overcome this problem.
Bhullar counting the number of such colonies, around Satia Wala bypass, in the recent past has come up said, Number of colonies have been carved on Ferozepur-Moga road on around 200 acres land but no action has been initiated so far. On the other hand, he stated, he deposited the requirement ten per cent fee with the Glada, for formal approval of Krishna-2 colony, no formal approval has been accorded.
Urging the government to take against such colonizers who have carved unauthorized colonies merely depositing the ten per cent amount Bhullar said, the government should take immediate action to save the government treasury for other development works.
Bhullar also made an appeal to the people to go in for construction of a house or commercial establishment, they must ensure that the colony or complex is approved by the appropriate authority.
He also said that he will be approaching the police and vigilance authorities also in this regard in case no action is taken.
He said to solve this problem, the CM should formulate a policy that simplifies the process of sanctioning the site plan and reduces its fee and the rates of development charges. The officials concerned of the municipal corporations/councils/committees should be directed to visit the site, collect all required documents and complete all necessary formalities at the spot and sanction the site plan of every house, shop and institute.
