Khushal Singh Wala GHS students bagged Gold & Bronze medals in Ist Open North India Taekwondo Cup
Ferozepur, December 21, 2015: In the Ist Open North India Taekwondo Cup was held on Sunday at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium organized by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Society Ferozepur.
Baldev Singh Bhullar, Deputy Director Small Saving inaugurated the Taekwondo tournament held in the stadium.
Sunil Sharma, District Sports Officer, Manjit Singh Principal and Jasdeep Singh Coach extended full cooperation for conducting the tournament.
Two girl students – Monika and Gagandeep Kaur of 10th Classof Government High School, Khushwal Singh Wala bagged Gold and Bronze medals in the Taekwondo competition.
In the school assembly in the morning, both the students were congratulated by Shivani, Headmistress, teachers and students for getting distinction in the sports and highlighting the name of the school.
Shivani said, Sports, besides providing self-protection, also keep physically and mentally fit and all must participate in any of the sports and keep themselves away from all social evils.
Speaking on this occasion, Monika and Ganagdeep Kaur said, the credit for their achievement in winning Gold and Bronze medals goes to Jasdeep Singh coach.
