Jolt to BJP: MC along with 7 party leaders resigns over farm laws

Ferozepur, December 13, 2020:  The Bharitya Janata Party’s own members are becoming hostile from the party, on being coerced by BJP leaders, for distancing themselves from support to the farmers. It was a big jolt to BJP when the only MC Zora Singh Sandhu along with his seven party leaders resigned from the party, in protest against the three anti-farmer laws enacted under Modi government.  Zora Singh Sandhu is the only MC, representing the BJP from Ferozepur Cantt Ward No.8.

Speaking to the media, Sandhu said, I had been taking an active part in the activities of the BJP but now, in support of the farmers, resigning from the BJP along with former General Secretary, District Mahila Morcha Geeta Rani, District SC Morcha Vice President Mukesh Kumar, Yuva Morcha Cantt Mandal Sanjay Rajput, Jonny Mandal Secretary, Rajinder Arora, Munish Shukla former Press Secretary Mandal and Ravi Tayal.

It is very unfortunate that the local party President is not responding to receive the resignations and avoiding acknowledging it. I will be leaving the copies of resignation in his office and now I am taking the help to formally convey our resignations. he added.

He said, it is not only the farmers who are affected; all other institutions like railways, airports, jio are flourishing as compared to BSNL which could not provide the better network of 4G even.

Sandhu said, the farmers of the State are protesting peacefully for the last three months, for their rights but BJP party, by taking the decisions like anti-farmers, are keeping intact the interests of corporate houses of Ambani and Adani which itself speaks of the attitude of the government towards the farmer’s community.

He said, I cannot work under pressure from BJP leaders for keeping away from the farmers’ protests. I want to have a feeling of an independent person and I stand with the jawan and kissan without joining any party. He will, however, move to Delhi also to participate in the farmer’s protests.
