In Lahore, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Pakistan to celebrate 112th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh
Ferozpur, September 18, 2019: Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan will organize a function at Democratic Lawn at Lahore High Court Bar Association, Lahore, to pay tributes to great legendary revolutionary and freedom fighter, Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 112th Birth Anniversary said Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, President of the foundation.
One of the most prominent revolutionaries of India, Bhagat Singh was born on 28 September 1907 in a Sikh family in the village of Banga in Layalpur district of present-day Pakistan.
Chief Guest, of the function, will be Hafeez Ur Rehman Choudhary President, Lahore High Court Bar Association Advocate Supreme court of Pakistan.
Speaking to this correspondent, Qureshi said, Bhagat Singh was a son of Pakistan also. We cannot forget his sacrifice to bring freedom to Pakistan and India from the Britishers.
He said, fighting for the freedom of the people for an independent state, was not a crime. Bhagat Singh was given death sentence unceremoniously without going into the facts of the case as his name did not appear in the FIR lodged at Lahore police station.
I will continue to fight for the innocence of Bhagat Singh in the court of law and renaming of Shadman chowk – where Bhagat Singh and his associate comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged – as Bhagat Singh Chowk, till I am alive.
