HKMP lends support to farmers over repeal of 3-Farm Laws

Ferozepur, August 27, 2021: Today, Hind Kisan Mazdoor Panchayat (HKMP) members led by Onkar Singh, National Vice President, lent their support to farmers over the repeal of 3-Farm Laws.

He was accompanied by State Vice President (Punjab), Pushpinder Singh Ahluwalia, Ranjit Singh, Darshan Singh, Megh Raj Singh and others.

 

The three farm laws are  – Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance, Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020

 

Expressing concern over the demands of the farmers, Onkar Singh Speaking to media persons at Press Club, said, “HKMP – committed to follow the ideology of George Fernandes, Founder President”.  He said the state government should take appropriate steps for the legitimate demands of the farmers’ to withdraw the three farm laws and implementation of Swaninathan Committee report on the rights of farmers and workers.

 

He said, the HKMP would do their utmost to promote the ideology of founder of HMKP and formulate a policy to fight against the unscrupulous policies of the government.

 

It is very unfortunate that the Punjab government is ignoring the rights of labourers and violating the available laws especially overlooking the farmers sitting on Delhi borders demanding repeal of three farm laws, said Onkar Singh.
