Follow-up: 16 booked under Arms in firing incident over land dispute killing 2 persons in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 9, 2022: In a follow up of the firing incident over a land dispute at Fatehgarh Sabrawan village in Zira sub division of Ferozepur on Thursday, killing two persons and injuring one, the police have booked 16 persons along with 25-30 unidentified persons at Mallanwala police station on the complaint of Firing over land dispute in Ferozepur.
The alleged accused booked are – Kabal Singh, Jaswant Singh, Nishan Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Malook Singh, Gursewak Singh, Guravtar Singh, Sardul Singh, Ranjit Singh, Palwinder Singhl Harpreet Singh, Jaswant singh, Hardeep Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Gurdev Singh, under Arms Act Sections 25/47/54/79 and 302/307/336/447/120-B/148/149 of IPC along with 25-30 unidentified ersons on the complaint of Pargat Singh son of Sulakhan Singh of Fatehgarh Sabrawan, who was injured in the in firing incident while his son Balraj Singh and his brother Balwinder Singh were killed and his couns in Gurjit Singh and brother Jaswant Singh were serious injured.
The dispute was over the possession of 6 kanals, 8 marlas of farmland at Fatehgarh Sabhrawan village in the Zira sub-division. So far, none has been taken into custody.
In the meantime, special investigation team (SIT) has been c and both the parties reported to have been asked to deposit their weapons.
