Five National Energy Conservation Awards-2016 for Ferozepur Rail Division
Ferozepur, December 19, 2016 : The Firozpur Division has received 5 National Energy Conservation Awards 2016 from Ministry of Power (Govt. of India).
1st Prize for DRM Office, Firozpur in office Building category and 4 awards in Rly. Stn. category; 1st Prize for Firozpur Cantt., 2nd Prize for Pathankot Cantt. & two Certificate of Merits for Jalandhar City & Ludhiana Railway stations.
Awards were given by Hon’ble Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines in the Government of India Sh. Piyush Goyal on 14.12.2016 in Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
These awards are given for saving electrical energy by adopting energy conservation measures by Govt. & as well as private sector enterprises.
Added here, last year also Firozpur division had received three awards for 2015 for Divisional Hospital, Firozpur (1st Prize) in Hospital category and two second prizes for Jalandhar Cantt. & Amritsar Railway Stations.
Santosh Kumar Tiwari, PRO, DRM Office Ferozpeur informed that these awards were received by Chief Electrical Engineer/Northern Railway, Sh. Dayal Dogra, DRM/Firozpur, Sh. Anuj Prakash and Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer/General, Sh. Sunil Kumar.
