Fire guts down resident house in Ferozepur, pet dog dies, no loss of human life
Ferozepur May 11, 2023: A residential house of Krishna Nand, a retiree, in Pioneer Colony on Ferozepur-Moga road was burnt to ashes, after a fire broke out, which engulfed the whole structure when the family members were sleeping in the afternoon today. However, there was no loss of human life but the pet dog died from smoke inhalation after flames tore through the whole of the home in this fire incident.
As per the information, the family members came to know only when the neighbour and Toyota agency staff pointed out about the smoke in the sky and all the members were out of the house and were safe.
It took more than one hour to reach the house, as reported by Krishna Nand. He said, the loss of the entire household goods and infrastructure is in lacs and not even a single item was left and even we could not collect the cash and take the pet dog. Now we have to start from zero to stand, he added.
On the other hand, Fire Brigade staff of two tenders told us that we reached the house, just after fifteen minutes of getting the information and fire was doused by the staff but due to heavy wood work and bursting of five cylinders, the fire had so quickly submerged and damaged the entire infrastructure in the house.
Instantly, the exact cause behind the fire could not be ascertained but the owner of the house said, but was a purported short circuit. A police officer confirmed and said that the cognizance of the fire incident has been taken and statements of owner, fire brigade staff and neighbors are being recorded. However, the further investigation is on. Villagers are currently rendering all possible help to the unfortunate family members.
