Fire breaks out in Ferozepur District Administrative Complex, Fire Extinguisher found expiry date

Ferozepur, June 26, 2023: On Monday, a fire broke out in the District Administrative Complex (DAC) near the revenue office in the afternoon. It was allegedly due to a short-circuit and no major loss was reported.   However, the fire extinguisher installed in the campus was found to be of expiry date and did not work.

As per the information,  the fire flare up from an electricity box and intensified within minutes. The fire brigade was informed about the incident and on receiving the information; three vehicles reached the site to douse the fire.

Whereas most of the fire extinguishers were installed have December 2018 expiry date and have not been replaced during the last five years.

In the meantime, the senior officials visited the spot.
