Ferozepur : Water starts touching bottom chord on downstream of railway bridge, don’t attempt to disturb protection works, appeals DRM

Ferozepur, August 19, 2019: As per the latest information from railways, DRM has tweeted along with a video, as under :

Water flowing over bottom chord in upstream and touching bottom chord on downstream of Bridge No 84 on Gidarpindi to Makhu (Jalandhar-Firozpur section).  Sustained flow expected till next 36 hrs as per State Govt. The local residents around this bridge are urged that there should be no attempt to disturb the protection works of Railway bridge else it will delay resumption of train services.

In the meantime, the district administration has made all arrangements by deploying NDRF teams and Army at the sensitive points of Ferozepur to meet any challenge in the event of flood like situation.
