Ferozepur police nab two drug pushers, seize heroin, pistol
Ferozepur, July 19, 2022: The Ferozepur police, intensifying the anti-drug campaign in the city, today nabbed two drug peddlers with recovery of heroin, pistol and vehicles being used for the purpose.
The accused have been identified as Sameul Bhatti of Bukhan Khan Wala in Ferozepur and Rahul of Hisan wala village in Jalalabad.
Divulging with details, Mohit Dhawan, incharge city police station said, both the accused have been arrested and booked under Section 21 NDPS Act and 25 of Arms Act. Working actively on an input, both were intercepted and during the searach, 260 gm heroin and one country made pistol 32 bore with two live cartridges besides the Swift vehicle number PB-61-D-3460 being used for this illegal work was recovered from them.
Added here, earlier also, Mohit Dhawan, who is working day and night, to tighten the noose of the drug peddlers in the area, had recovered stolen motor cycles, mobiles and solved one murder mystery.
He further said in-depth investigations will be carried out after getting the police remand, by tracing backward and forward history to crack the chain supply.
