Ferozepur Police holds 41 seminars to maintain law and order, seize illegal substances

Ferozepur, August 13, 2024: Between August 5 and August 11, Ferozepur Police conducted 41 seminars across various regions in the district. These operations were part of the “Navekli Pehal” which aims to maintain law and order.  It also highlights the comprehensive efforts of the Ferozepur Police in maintaining public safety and curbing illegal activities across the district, besides huge recoveries.

So far as seizures and financial impact are concerned, SSP  Soumya Mishra said, there was the seizure of illegal substances worth ₹23,98,281, including a significant amount of heroin,   on August 7, a special raid resulted in the recovery of 6.655 kg of heroin from two individuals,  authorities also dismantled illegal distilleries, and destroying 238 litres of illicit alcohol.

Sharing about the other activities, SSP Mishra said that as part of their outreach efforts, the police conducted meetings to engage with the local community, emphasising the importance of cooperation with law enforcement.
