Ferozepur police finally catch up with lift-and-loot gang within two hours
Ferozepur April 21, 2014: The Ferozepur police after two hours rigorous technical and human surveillance have arrested two members of the lift-and-loot gang within two hours in the incident that took place on May 20 at PPCL Petrol Pumpl at village Shekhwan on Talwandi Bhai road.
Divulging with the details to the media persons today, B.S.Sandhu, SP said, on Saturday, four bike-borne youths on motorcycle No.PB-05AD-9109 at HPCL Petrol Pump in village Shekhwan and asked for Rs.50 petrol and on asking for the payment, the beat up Amlesh Mishra when his accomplice Pawan Kumar Tiwari also came to help him but the alleged accused fled with a bag containing cash of Rs.51,000. Later on, Amlesh Mishra and Pawan Kumar were admitted in the Civil Hospital Zira after informing the owner of the petrol pump.
A case under Sections 382, 323, 34 IPC was registered on the statement of Amlesh Mishra an employee at the Petrol Pump against four persons namely Amarjit Singh, Arshpreet Singh, JHashan Preet Singh and Gurdas Singh of Zira.
The police working actively managed to arrest two accused Amarjit Singh and Arshpreet Singh and recovered Rs.30,000 and police is raiding at the suspected places to nab the remaining two accused. However, in-depth investigation is going from the arrested persons and important clues about their back history of looting incidents and other members of the gang will come on the surface.
